GLEB Rostislavich, son of ROSTISLAV Iaroslavich Prince of Riazan & his wife --- (-31 Jul 1178). Prince of Riazan 1145. He attempted to assert himself against the princes of Vladimir after the death in 1174 of Andrei "Bogoliubskiy" but he was decisively defeated on the river Koloksha near Vladimir in 1176 and died in captivity[701].

i) FEDOR Iurievich (-murdered 21 Dec 1237). Howorth’s History of the Mongols records that, according to the 17th century chronicle of Kostroma which Howorth suggests was “perhaps founded on reliable traditions”, “George the Prince of Riazan sent his son Feodor with presents” to the invading Mongol leader Batu who asked to see Fedor’s “beautiful wife, an Imperial princess named Euphrasia”. After Feodor refused, Batu decapitated him and “a few days after Euphrasia who was in one of the top rooms of the palace holding in her arms her little son Ivan Feodorovitch Postnik...threw herself from the window and thus perished”, while Howorth says that “another narrative [uncited] says that she threw herself down from the church of Saint Nicholas with her child”[706]. He succeeded his older brother in 1238 as IAROSLAV Prince of Vladimir.
